This is 2016… I would love to see a functional “Download Progress” indicator in Kodi. I hoped it would come about with the first release of Kodi, and demise of XBMC, but it still hasn’t made any advances since I started using the aforementioned about 10yrs ago.
One would think that we could take note of the download size, and watch the file in finder for progress, however we all know that Apple’s ability to refresh file sizes in finder is also old hat and useless!!
If I want to watch a movie as SOON as it is done downloading, and it’s coming in slowly and inconsistently, even with the pop-up notifications set to display every 10%, it’s almost useless as well… I have to turn the volume up on my machine, and when I hear it pop up, QUICKLY look to see where it is on the download… blah! When I am concurrently downloading 3 movies, and don’t really care about 2 of them… this is not even a good option for obvious reasons.
I don’t know, but this may be more of a function of the plugin, e.g. Exodus…?
It would see that we could look at the download status in the plugin and see a REAL TIME MOVING indicator of status, filesize, download bytes/second, total size, percentage, etc.
WHY IS THIS SO DIFFICULT??
***Another (perhaps more accomplishable) option would be a quick, easy notification via email as to the completion of each download….
