So I’m having this issue with syncing with the server between my PC and Apple TV. Everything works syncing wise between my PC and MAC Pro, and everything is golden, but it doesn’t sync on my Apple TV. I did some experimenting and I think the Apple TV is connected to the MySQL server, but it’s not going between the others, it’s its own thing. Because what I did, was use the SMB that I do to use the mySQL and watch something that gives history, and stop. So I delete the directories and such on the Apple TV and restart. And when it’s done, I restart the app, and everything is synced again, between only the Apple TV. Not entirely sure if it’s syncing on mySQL or for whatever reason the history is on the Apple TV itself.
Wait? So how did I add the advancedsettings in the Apple TV app? Well, if you don’t already know. Before you add the app to the Apple TV as the final step. When it’s in the .IPA, you switch it to .ZIP, and it goes to zip. So you uncompress it, using the MAC archive thing, and then you can go into all the settings, so I found the userdata file, and put in the advancedsettings.XTML file. And then I went back to the Payload file it does, and compress it again. Then switch to .IPA from .ZIP. Then I re-IOS App Signer it and bam! You can use it. And to be sure everything worked and the advancedsettings is still there, I uncompressed the good file and it’s still there.
Like I said I think the mySQL works, but it’s working in it’s own thing. And doesn’t sync between the other two. I saw that on the wiki for mySQL for Kodi that you have to have the same version of the file, and that is problematic between IOS TV app and the Kodi for Windows or MAC. But I did a beta that’s different for PC between the MAC, and it still worked. Apple TV app is only like a day between the others when it comes to the Nightly build. So it can’t be the version.
Does anyone know? Or has anyone other than me even attempted this? Haha, would be helpful to know!
Thanks!
