Hi there, I hope this is in the right forum.
I’m running Kodi 16.1 from openELEC on a dedicated media PC. I’ve noticed that the download speed, as measured using teamx’s Internet Speed Tester addon, is around 30-60mb/s, and ping time 36ms. Other devices in my home measure around 200mb/s and 8ms, even when connected to the router by the same ethernet cable.
This has been an issue previously, at a different home on a 100mb/s service, so definitely seems to be to do with my setup, rather than an isp network issue.
Could this be an hardware issue? I’ve read about updatimg motherboard chipset drivers for example — although I’m not clear how i would update these. Or could this be a software configuration issue?
