Kodi black screen in & after RDP session

Hello, I am long years user of Windows Media Center. There I am often connect via RDP (Remotedesktop, mstsc.exe) to my HTPC to add TV recordings in WMC through EPG. So I remote login, start WMC, select EPG and select series etc to record.

I want to do the same with Kodi now. The problem, when I start Kodi in such an RDP session (Kodi set to fullscreen) I only get black screen. When I press cursor keys I can hear sound like Kodi moves throuh the menus. But I can see nothing. Blind navigation also makes quite difficult (impossible!) to end Kodi a clean way. If I manage to close Kodi for exampe over task manager, remote screen session stays black (other application or explorer in foreground), only the preview in ALT+TAB, Win+TAB are visible. But with some luck I get taskmanager visible on black backround to kill Kodi task. From taskmanager I also can open cmd.exe and it’s visible. But not other running applications or desktop.

When in this state, with or without killing Kodi, when I then login locally through HTPC local connected keyboard and screen, also still everything is black, except of login screen and the screen behindt CTRL+ALT+DEL (logout, switch user, run taskmanager, …), alt+tab, win+tab and sometimes taskmanager.

This behaviour stays whatever I do. The only thing to get out is to reboot the machine. When running Kodi on local attached screen no problem in full screen mode. I haven’t tryed different remote desktop protocol like VNC. (And I don’t want to use VNC as it does not scale down the screen to the display of my netbook which I use to remote access the HTPC.)

When Kodi is in windowed mode, it’s just fine. But I don’t like much windowed mode, even if it is set to full screen, as there is always the top window bar.

It’s currently Kodi 16.1.

What this could be?
