Kodi icon is always on right side of the screen

Hi I am new to Kodi and I have looked for an answer to this question, but I have had no luck. Basically I am running Kodi off my fire tv stick and it is working great. But there is always an icon on the right side of the screen. It is always the last thing I did. So if I watched Deadpool, there would be a Deadpool icon on the right. If i was in settings there would be a settings icon on the right. It is very annoying is there an easy way o get rid of this? I have added some pictures so you can see what I am talking about. Even if I fire up Netflix the icon is still there!
