cannot open kodi on windows vista

I have installed and uninstalled kodi and reinstalled on windows Vista several times and every time I try to open kodi I get this message “This application has failed to start because d3d11.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem,” I tried to reinstall but I continue to get this message. Anybody got any ideas
