Advanced New Features
• Access SHIELD folders from a network PC or Mac and enjoy drag-and-drop file sharing. Enable in
Settings > Storage & reset > Access SHIELD folders on PC.
(Note: For external storage, non-adopted, you will only be able to write to the /Android/data/com.plexapp.mediaserver.smb folder on the drive. This folder will be created after the drive is plugged in and you start the Plex Server. The server has to be started AFTER the drive is plugged, if it already running then the folder will not be created)
• Mount a network attached storage device (NAS) to SHIELD to access your complete media
collection. Stream this media to mobile devices using the Plex app and SHIELD’s HD hardware
transcode. Set up in Settings > Storage & reset > Network storage. (Note: Make sure you are running the latest Plex Server update v. 0.9.17.1.256 or above)
• Automatically turn off your TV when SHIELD sleeps. Enable in Settings > HDMI > HDMI-CEC
preferences.
• Enable YCbCr 4:4:4 color space for improved video quality on supported TVs. Go to Settings >
HDMI > Color space.

Installation Utlity: Nvidia Shield TV Utility App (created by imtiajmeah)
GUI app to easily sideload your apks to the Nvidia Shield TV via USB or over the Network.
1. Unzip the folders to “C:\NSTV”
2. Launch app “Nvidia Shield TV Utility App.exe”
Taking Screenshots and Video Capture
To take a screenshot or make a video of what is being displayed, press & hold the “O” button on the controller or remote.

If you make a video capture, it will record (as an mp4) both the video (as h.264) and audio (as 2 channel AAC) of what every is being displayed, including video being played on Kodi.
Also if you have ES File Explore installed (this may work with other file managers, but is untested) you can upload the screenshot or video directly to any location that ES has access to.
