Kodi VPN Apple Fire TV Stick

I’m new to this forum, I think I’m posting in the right Forum but please forgive me if I’ve not!
I’ve recently purchased an Amazon Fire TV Stick and downloaded Kodi. To give me a little privacy (I think) I’ve also downloaded Cloud VPN. Now when I run this it says Connected but when I check on my Router the TV shows as a device but the Firestick doesn’t (not sure whether this is usual or not). Is there anyway of checking within either the Firestick or within Kodi that the VPN is actually running and working. Any advice would be gratefully received. Thanks
