Please help me decide if Kodi is right for me.

I’m looking for some help from someone directly from Kodi if possible please!

I’m interested in movie management software for my HTPC, and deciding between JRiver, Plex and Kodi. My main objective is to obtain the best possible visual and audio experience possible while watching Blu-ray 1080p and 4K movies on a large screen TV that I’ve saved to my hard drive.

I’ve read through the Kodi website and still have a few unanswered questions.

1. How does Kodi stack up to and compare with JRiver and Plex?

2. Will Kodi give me a better, worse or the same visual and audio experience as JRiver, Plex with Plex Media Player and PowerDVD 16?

3. Does Kodi handle movies in ISO format efficiently?

4. Does Kodi have a feature that makes the onscreen movie controls (play, fast forward, rewind…etc.) large and easy to see from several feet away while sitting in a home theater? And is this supported with movies saved in ISO format? PowerDVD has this feature although it does not work with movies saved in ISO format. I believe it’s called a “10-foot User Interface”.

5. Does Kodi have a feature that allows me to set movies to automatically replay once they reach the end?

6. Does Kodi have a feature that allows me to create movie playlists to play different movies one after the other in a row for as long as I like.

7. Will Kodi allow me to create movie categories – Christmas, comedy, action, drama, etc.?

8. Will I be able to play / watch movies without being connected to the internet?

Thank You.
