Testing theme install in Kodi 16

In Windows 7, when I try a new theme, I sometime get a bad theme that does not contains the standard menus that allow me to recover. That mean that I need to completely uninstall kodi 16 and delete the Kodi folder under programs. Is there an easier way to recover from a bad theme installation without completely uninstalling Kodi? THanks
