I have a Nvidia Shield 2017 with Kodi installed (latest GooglePlay version). I don’t get any 5.1 sound via HDMI when configuring passthrough. I have found a workaround by doing the following when the film has started playing. I press set on the remote and open the settings option (on the far right). There I can disable the passthrough and thus getting 2.0 PCM sound. I then re-activate the passthrough and the 5.1 sound starts streaming. This works every time for all multichannel sound streams.
I’m new to the forum and wonder if there is a fix for this problem (to make passthrough work without having to us the workaround)?
