New to kodi

Hi I just heard about Kodi today from a coworker and how much he enjoyed the app with his amazon fire tv, so I called amazon to order a box and they mentioned that kodi was no longer supporting the app for amazon fire tv box or stick, is that correct? Is the kodi app still supported on any of the other tv app sticks?
