In Kodi 17.1 (Always-On-Top edition) there stuttering video with sound chopping up for about 4 seconds when I was watching a movie ripped from my Blu-ray. The OS I’m using is Windows 10 Home. I’m using Launcher4Kodi to avoid Windows Explorer and running Kodi outside the Windows shell. I also disabled Windows auto updates through services.msc. The minimizing Kodi with the black screen background seems to be solved with the Always-On-Top edition of Kodi 17.1, but now it seems that instead of that issue, at one point in the movie, I was getting stuttering video with audio chopping up for about a 4 second duration. I replayed that same time period in the movie and it did not happen again. I also tested that time period in the movie directly from the blu-ray and it did not happen on the blu-ray either, so it’s not a bad disc that I ripped from. Can someone here explain the stuttering and chopping up audio that I was experiencing in Kodi 17.1 (Always-On-Top edition)? Was it most likely caused by Windows doing something in the background while Kodi was trying to stay in focus?
