Same story as Dougyb83 experiencing.
Did a factory rest of my Asus tablet and tried to install17 on it and was shocked to find no backwards compatibility with 4.2.2 !
Installed 16.1 and the ‘First Run’ thing happend then a blank screen for a few seconds then ‘Kodi Has Stopped’
Nothing wrong with apk as I used it to install 16.1 on my J3 phone and it works fine !
