I’ve been using an IPTV provider (smarthub) for many months perfectly fine operating Kodi 16.0 and then 16.1. I recently upgraded to 17.1 and all of a sudden i am unable to play HD live streams only – the FHD and SD streams all play smoothly without issue which is just bizarre. It’s definitely an issue that’s brought about by the upgrade of Kodi version as if i reinstall 16.1 the problem disappears. The streams buffer and the picture becomes pixelated when the problem arises.
I’ve done a bit of research already and have tried adjusting resolution settings and turned off the hd upscaling feature and disabled mediacodec. Nothing has worked and i’m out of ideas!
