kodi 17.1 not showing picture definition

I upgraded from kodi 16.0 to 17.1, big change love the niew High Def display. I noticed that when watching a movie, before it showed the picture definition 720p or 1080p now I don’t see it. Is there a place I can see. Cause when you choose a movie it may say High but when you watch it it may be DVD quality. tia
