getting started with KODI

Hi I am trying to set up Kodi so I can play music from my desktop via my home network to a 2113 Denon AVR. I have the playlist on the Kodi and the media server on the denon but I can’t sort out the settings to get the kodi to show up on my network page so the AVR can see it. I can get Windows Media Player to work so all the bits are there. The OS is Windows Home Premium. I have been around computers for a while but this is my first attempt to use the network, which is wired, for playing music files
