I have a ShieldTV and started using Kodi back in v15, then switched to SPMC and have been using that since. I recently tried to install Kodi v17, and it crashes on startup. Doing some digging, when I uninstall Kodi it seems to be leaving some files that can’t be delete. Specifically, a bunch of .zip files in
/android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files/.kodi/addons
I’ve tried using the built in uninstaller and deleting the files manually, then reinstalling from the play store, but it always attempts to run for the first time and then crashes. I’ve rebooted the device and tried to delete with no success either.
Any suggestions? SPMC is fine but with the changes in v17 (and the stuff listed for v18), I’d like to have the option of moving back to Kodi at some point.
