Please excuse me if this is not overly clear as I’m very new to the Pi.
I’m in the processing of switch from a Win7/Kodi setup to a Pi/Libreelec/Kodi system. All my media is on a USB connected HDD. The media is organised into folders such as Movies, TV Shows, Home Videos 1, Home Videos 2, Music, Pictures. There are sub folders within each for the specific movie, tv show, home video etc.
On the Win7 setup when I add a source from the local HDD, Kodi allows me to select the specific top level folder I want. So, for example I select the Movie Folder and add them as Movies. Ditto TV Shows as TV Shows. For my Home Videos I select the folder and set the content as None.
This allows me to separate out my Home Videos form Movies and TV Shows. Using Estuary Mod I can set up a Home Menu Item for my Home Videos 1 and 2 because they are separate sources.
On the Pi/Libreelect setup with the same hard drive it just gets mounted as one source i.e the HDD. I can set the movie folder content to be movies and the tv show folder to be tv shows and these appear in the appropriate home page menu.
However, there seems no way to add the other folders – Home Videos 1 and 2 as sources. When I go to Add Video Source the local drive is not shown.
What am I missing? I can do this on the Windows setup but not on Libreelec setup
