Hi,
I’ve been using Kodi on a Pi 3 for more than a year now – and I don’t think comes as close to being a true media center for most users. Read on:
– pressing the escape key often feels like I don’t land where I expect, again browsing files is a mess, pressing the Esc key when reading a video brings a list of files instead of pausing or stopping the video,
– how to disable subtitles downloaded with openSubtitles: should be as easy as toggling a subtitle option when reading a video,
– navigating the playback options when reading a video is not prcise, pressing right/left arrow moves of slider of 1/4 of the entire video length so I travel of 0 second to 15 min in one keypress for a 45 min episode,
– when selecting the volume icon – I get a complex menu instead of a simple slider to increase/decrease the volume,
– toggling on/off volume – F8? Seriously – this key does not necessarily work on a Bluetooth keyboard. Was it easy to navigate to the options to toggle it on? Nope. Had to go to OSMC forum.
What I’d love for the next major release: huge UX improvements: think of a tablet using Android or iOS – people don’t spend ages finding basic options.
