Need some help here, I’m at my wits end.
I’m having a horrible time with Kodi crashing anytime video is played. This occurs at seemingly random points in the video. Sometimes the video will play for several minutes before crashing, even to the point that I can stop the video successfully before the crash happens. Most times it only plays a few seconds to a minute or so then crashes. Sometimes it crashes almost immediately after starting the video. If I try to change any video settings while playing (i.e. deinterlace, etc.), Kodi will almost always crash immediately. Never had these problems on Jarvis, only on Krypton.
Windows version is Windows 10 Pro, Version 1511, Build 10586.164
CPU: Intel Haswell Core i5-4670k @ 3.40 GHz (not overclocked)
Ram: 16GB
GPU: Using built-in Intel HD4600 graphics
This is a clean install of Kodi 17.3 – previous version was completely uninstalled, userdata folder deleted, etc. Running the stock skin, no additional skins, repositories or addons installed, bone stock Kodi 17.3. I am playing the videos through file manager and it still crashes. Originally tried through normal video library (used Emby for Kodi add-on), but when I ran into the crash problem I uninstalled Kodi completely, reinstalled a completely stock Kodi and tried to play through file manager only and it still crashes.
Please note that all videos are MKVs but it doesn’t matter which one or where the file is located, network or local source, all eventually cause Kodi to crash. Some are straight BD rips (with MakeMKV) and some are encodes from Handbrake. Again, all seem to crash Kodi. Here is the pastebin of the debug log file:
Any help is much appreciated, I’m lost at this point!
