Skins • (HELP) Customizing orange icons in the topbar menus with the source-code

Hello !

For personal and aesthetic reasons, I would like to custom some icons in VLC Media Player that are not editable with the Skin Editor.

For exemple, when you click on “Media” or “Help” in the topbar, there’s those orange icons. I would like to change them for maybe blue or black/white icons to create a more “minimalist” software.

Here’s some screenshots :

In the source-code ( the “vlc-master” folder that can be downloaded ) I’ve found those icons, so I can edit them. But now, I don’t know how to compile all of this and build a new .exe launcher for my own custom VLC.

When looking for some informations about “compiling” and “build” from the code, I find some informations, but because I’m not a developer I don’t know how to do this and where to start :(

Can someone on this forum help me to achieve this ? And explain me the process step by step ?

I really hope I’ll be able to find some solutions here !

Thanks in advance ! :D

PS: I’m a Windows 10 user.
