I searched the forum, but didn’t find anything stating this exact feature request:
What I would love to see in VLC is the option to have custom colors in the anaglyph 3D filter. The reason behind that is that there are many different shades of lenses out there depending on the quality or even just on the manufacturer of different 3D glasses. This feature works best when the display colors can match the lens colors as exactly as possible. Having just a regular color-picker wheel for each stereo channel would probably work best – maybe w/ options to add colors by Hex value or other standard color definitions with which I might not be familiar.
Since this would be adding a much more complicated feature set, I understand if it’s not popular enough to get traction. If that is the case, a close second-best feature request would be just to add another filter option for the TrioViz Infinicolor 3D glasses (used on some 3D games like Assassins’ Creed, etc). These are like the trioscopic 3D filter, but with the L/R colors opposite.
That change would make VLC even better than the great software it already is. Thanks, everyone who contributes to it for making such a powerful and useful app, and hopefully I will be able to build my skillset enough to be counted among your numbers in the future.
