I am using Kodi for audio only.
The crossfade function for audio, fades current song out and new song in. The new song starts fully faded out, which doesn’t sound nice. Professional non-stop radiostations use another crossfade scheme: the current song is faded, while the new song starts at normal volume. This results in a much better sounding result. Also, sometimes a scheme is used where no fading is being applied, but songs overlap for one or two seconds at normal volume.
My request is to implementate these kind of crossover fading options.
