Hi everbody – i do have a wired problem. I updated to Kodi V21.0 some time ago (pretty much at the time of the release). Since I am using Emby for Kodi Add-on, I had to do a new installation. Everything worked fine. However, recently I watched a movie with Dolby Atmos audio and notced that the AVR did not recognize the Atmos feature. This was an enhanced Dolby track. I was wondering whether the AVR would recognize the Atmos feature when I would use a DolbyTrueHD with Atmos track. It did not 🙁 Also tracks with DTS (or DTS TrueHD) are played as Dolby Digital ?
All audios are played as they should (incl Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD with Atmos, DTX TrueHD, DTS TrueHD:X) when I am using Emby for playing movies or TV shows. Between switching the apps, I didn’t change anything else. Even more confusing – downgrading to Kodi V21 Beta1 – also every audio track is playing fine with all the feature.
So for the time being I am using Kosi V21 Beta 1 – no issues at all. I am just concerned when this wouldn’t be fixed that the next Kodi versions will show the same (FireTV Cube3 related) bug.
