For a long time I have had the problem that I do not receive an audio signal from the 3.8 mm audio jack plug of my Android TV box x96 mini (Android 9, Kodi: All versions since Kodi 16, connected to my TV via HDMI) when I switch off the TV. The sound is output as long as the TV has not been switched off or put into standby mode. If it is switched off, only a humming sound can be heard. I have an old plasma TV. If I want to listen to music via a radio app or Kodi, the TV must also be running. I’ve also tried using an external sound card, but that doesn’t change anything. I’m not sure if this is a issue with Kodi or with the TV box. What does the HDMI output or the TV have to do with the audio socket? Has anyone had the same experience, or has a suggested solution?
