AZ:FA Slideshow on Home page

I’ve upgraded to Kodi Jarvis 16.1 and AZ:FA
I’m trying to setup a photo slideshow on the Home screen, using about 50 photos in a folder.
I have gone to SETTINGS / Skin Settings / Home / Set slideshow path …..and pointed to the photo folder.
However, nothing happens…home screen stays blank.
Am I on the right track?
