One episode in a show bugs out

Have just encountered an issue where one episode in a show I’ve been watching on Kodi (local files, have seen eight episodes before this issue occurred) bugs out and, instead of showing the actual video, shows the last thing that was on-screen before the video was played and/or resumed, like the menu, however it’s possible to bring up the progress bar and the audio does play. The file plays fine in VLC, so I’m not quite sure what has happened.
