You are misunderstanding what the VLC bug is.
I am not talking about the volume of a video or audio file being played.
If you right-click the Windows desktop, choose “Personalize”, click the “Themes” page, then click “Sounds” in the middle
you can set the Windows ‘Program Events’ sounds. These sound files also get set when chooseing a Windows Theme file.
So, after you set one or more of these sounds…
– When you click to open the Menu in VLC, or point to open a second menu level the sound plays at 100% volume.
– When Maximizing/Minimizing the VLC window the volume level for these sounds is correct.
So far I haven’t been able to figure out if any other ‘Program Event’ sounds are too loud or not.
