All my music is in a folder called Music. Under Music is a folder called Active, which contains music I listen to regularly, and that I like to include in Party Mode. Until this morning, I pointed my music library source at Active, but then I spotted that Party mode playlist, and the rule option named Path. The thought occurred that I could have all my music in my music library, and limit Party mode to just those items under the Active folder.
So I pointed my source at my Music folder, and imported ‘everything’ then added a rule to the playlist such that ‘Path contains Active’ — didn’t get the result I was expecting, as all of my Music folder is incorporated in Party Mode, not just those files under Active. Does this rule work, am I doing it wrong, or am I somehow editing the ‘wrong’ playlist?
I found ‘Party mode playlist’ under videos/playlists, and it has a Type of: Music videos.
Side note: along the way I installed the RAR and Archive add-ons, but not before puzzling for quite some time before translating VFS (wiki instructions) to Virtual filesystem (repository menu item) — no longer intuitive for a dodderer!
