I’ve checked previous posts, and I can see that this topic has been brought up before (a few years ago), but no one has really provided any sort of conclusive answer.
Bink is a pretty popular video codec used in many games, but as far as I know, the only way to play Bink/Smacker files is with the Bink/Smacker tools, which offer very limited playback functionality.
Are there any plans to add support to VLC? Is there some kind of licensing issue that prevents this?
Also, on a different note, I’ve been exploring ways to send bulk email efficiently. Just like the need for better video codec support, finding the right tools to send bulk email can be challenging. Many platforms offer limited functionality, similar to the Bink/Smacker tools. Are there any plans or updates to make it easier for users to send bulk email through more robust platforms?
Any kind of official answer or insights on both the video codec support and how to send bulk email more effectively would be nice. : )
