Video jerky on Anker Nebula Mars 2 Projector

I installed Kodi from the Android playstore (21.1) on my Mars 2 projector. When playing video, it’s slightly jumpy. It’s just enough to be very distracting. I’ve tried multiple videos, as well as any Kodi settings that looked relevant. I’ve plugged an ONN streaming stick into the projector, and can play video that way without any issues. Wifi signal is good, tried 2.4ghz and 5ghz. Video is coming from a COREELEC instance. Any ideas on how to fix the jerky video in the Nebula Mars 2?
