With Kodi 21.1 the handling of DialogInfo has changed due a fix from @ksooo : https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/25489 . Now it’s not possible anymore adding different artwork to an Interpret, Artist or Actor when no information about this item exists. I agree the new handling of not showing the info dialog when no information is available but for now it’s impossible to add any artwork related to an artist. Instead of showing only the entry “add thumb to artist” it will make much more sense to change the context menu entry to “add artwork” as this was accessible before via dialog info (button ID 10).
Artwork is much more then only an actor thumb.

It would be very helpful if the entry in the context menu could be changed to “Add artwork” and the corresponding action/dialog could be called up.
