Thought this article would be of interest. FTA: Roughly one-fifth of the hard disk drives dating to the 1990s are entirely unreadable. Goes to show that back-ups and moving data around on a regular basis is key to longer storage solutions. User comments “multiple copies, make new copies every decade.”
