Does kodi's remote control webserver block IPs?

I have wireguard setup on my network.  When I come in via the wireguard interface, I am unable to access Kodi’s webinterface on http://192.168.1.101:8080 but if I connect to that same url from a box on the physical network, the webserver works fine.  Is there something I can add in guisettings.xml to allow the webserver to accept connections from my wiregard interface?
