Seasons not displaying

So the TV folder structure is – Program – Season – Episode and this displays fine.
I have my Comics folder structure the same Character (Program) – Story (Season) – Comic (Episode) as I have them in a TV node that contains TV shows.
The problem is I have Character – Comic , the level that should show story(season) is missing and the result of that is if I have 4 stories with no season level you get 4×1,4×2 etc.
Any ideas why this is happing. Kodi gets info for the comics from .nfo files
