Hello,
I’m new to Kodi and planning to move from classic DLNA based access on my old TV to Kodi. I have a problem with episode thumb filenames. When building my library I had to try several times to successfully add my TV series to the library and for TV series that use local scraper at some point the thumbs were displayed correctly but at another attempt they were blank. I can’t figure out what affect’s the result. I noticed that Kodi uses -thumb suffix for thumb filenames that are downloaded through online scrapers. When I change the filename to e01-thumb.jpg instead of just e01.jpg it works and the thumbs appear in the library. The problem is that I still need to use my legacy TV DLNA access (at least for some time) and the thumb files need to have the same name as the episode files otherwise my TV doesn’t show them. I also don’t want to duplicate each thumb file. Is there a way to set Kodi to use files without -thumb suffix?
Thanks,
Rob
