i use kodi with a usb sound card and alsa on my rpi2 with a debian dinux (xbian).
i works well but in Kodi i can ony choose between 2 sound-devices from the usb-soundcard:
ALSA:USB default
ALSA:USB surround21
but my alsa or my usb-soudnkart have a lot more:
