Different devices uses different database tables ?

Hi I have 2 devices at home which I want to be synchronized with the 'watched' statues. I've read the Kodi manual for setting MySql database (Syncing_and_sharing (wiki)) and both devices seems to use it The problem is, it looks like they are using diff...

no sound whatsoever

After my recent reinstallation all but some video quirks seemed to work fine. Then today I discovered I had no sound whatsoever. Right after my reinstallation I discovered using alsamixer that Master was muted. Settings were not changed in the meantime, but today I discovered it had been muted again by itself. So I unmuted it, but I still have no sound, tested by playing all sorts of video and audio files. Also checked physical connections of course. I'm at a loss here, so I'll post my logs here:

Can NextPVR be used with Freesat

Might well be moving to FreeSat soon, I have a Windows KODI box with Freeview dual tuners in. Is it a case of buying a sat PCI card and telling NextPVR to use that? Be interested to hear from anyone on FreeSat. James

Number of thumbnails in list

View music library by “Album Artist”

Is it possible to view the music library sorted by "Album Artist" instead of "Artist"? Way to many compilations/mixes where each artist is only in my library once. I'd rather have them all under "various artists" where they belong Loving the new ski...

Preferred way to rewrite a guide

Is there a preferred way to rewrite a guide/how-to? I have written this guide: HOW TO: Minimal Ubuntu 16.04 with Kodi, Steam & EmulationStation. I have now found a better way to integrate Kodi, Steam and emulators compared to the one described in my guide. However, this new approach would mean that I need to rewrite large sections.

I would like to preserve the old guide for reference, but I do not want to add new sections to the old guide because the readability would suffer. Also, some of the post in the thread still applies to the new guide.

Right now I am thinking about these solutions:

  • Create a new thread for the new guide
  • Use strike-through to show what sections no longer apply in the old guide and add the new sections
  • Add a post in my old thread with the new guide and link to this new guide in the beginning of the thread

What would be the best solution? And how are these things usually done?

onAction detect

I'm using onAction function, is there anyway to detect if the action/key was a long-down(as in when you hold the key down and it repeats the action) press? If I press down key once I get Code: DEBUG: Keyboard: scancode: 0x50, sym: 0x0112, unicode: 0x...
