Published addon availability

When you publish an addon for a previous repo, does it also get published to newer repos? For example if I published it to the Kodi 16 repo, will it be available to kodi 17 users or do I need to publish to each?

Unable to automatically show Forced subtitles

Hi.
I'm running Kodi v17 “Krypton” Beta 5 on Raspberry Pi 2 and on Odroid C-2 via LibreELEC (Krypton) v7.90.008 ALPHA.

I'm having problems to automatically and always show forced subtitles internal to .mkv files.
Now the Kodi behavior is to show me Forced subtitles only if I enable the subtitles for that .mkv file during the playback, because by default "Show subtitles" is disabled.

As we know the Forced subtitle "track" (ID) can be present in various combinations inside the .mkv file: it can be the first "ID" or it can be also, for example, the third "ID" in the subtitles list, it can be marked as "Default" or it cannot be marked as "Default", it can be of a specific language or not (undefined).

May be it's a my fault to correct configure Kodi for automatically and always showing forced subtitles internal to .mkv files.

So, to start, to understand if it's a my fault or a Kodi issue, how should I configure Kodi to automatically and always show forced subtitles (if present into the .mkv file) for all mkv files into my Library (or outside my Library)?

MI BOX VS HTPC VS NVIDIA SHIELD

Hello, Greetings to all in my 1 post.

I am old MCE user and after mediaportal, and after dying my htpc I will change to kodi.


I'm looking for a new player.

I have;

---- Old homecinema without hdmi, optical input and spidf, "no hdmi".

---- Tv fullhd, hdmi

---- HD Projector, hdmi


After reading the great guides, these are my alternatives:

1. XIAOMI MI BOX: € 80. Fan of Xiaomi, apparently a great device http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=275083.
It speaks very well, but.
Is the audio output digital?
Can I connect the jack output to coaxial or spidf?


2. Htpc: € 175-275
Update my htpc, I only have the box and a tv tuner.
My idea: Intel Apollo

J4205 vs J3455 Is it worth the J4205? I will not play 4k

3. Nvidia Shield. € 200
This is my last option
