VPN issue on Sony XBR65X850C

hey guys…i’ve had kodi installed directly on my xbr65x850c & xbr55x850c for quite some time now and it’s always done what i’ve asked of it….recently in attempting to stream more live television i’ve purchased a VPN & it’s not being very friendly with the android based software…openvpn refuses to open and i’m given the “This is a console-only addon” message so therefore i cannot properly take use of OpenELEC & am unable to use the VPN on the TV…i’m using IPVanish & they have an android based app but i’m unable to download it from the google play store…not really sure if it’s something that i’m particularly doing incorrectly or if it’s just a hardware/software malfunction where they don’t want to be happy with eachother…if anyone could help that would be awesome…thanks for reading and let me know if you need any more info!
