I have just fired up my pc for the first time in 4 to 5 months. I went to update my movie database in kodi and it now gathers information from the net extremely slowly. If I go to get an addon from the kodi repository it says cannot connect to network server yet it will run addons already installed like youtube. I am running kodi 16.1. I have uninstalled kodi and reinstalled it, but still cannot get anything from kodi repository (still says cannot connect network server) even though I can download movie and tv information via the installed addons – but at a snails pace. Internet on the pc is working fine and at full speed. Can anyone give any help, and yes I know I need to add a log file, just hoping someone might have had a similar problem.
