Got my Apple TV 4 as NY present. Installed the latest tvOS biuld via sideloading. But the CPU usage is really high. It’s above 90% on 1080p content, sometimes it hits above 110-130% and there’s a lot of judder/freezes. The H/W acceleration is ON.
Is this normal? What numbers do your ATV shows when playing high quality 1080p mkv files (10-20 GB per file)? Files are stored on the TimeCapsule – tired Ethernet and WiFi connection. My Intel NUC box with OpenELEC plays everything just fine with 10% CPU usage in the same setup. But the problem is with AppleTV itself – even when idle on default skin it shows 70-80% of CPU usage – this is too much!!!
