Haven’t used kodi on windows 7 very much at all and know little about dxva. Testing with latest nightly master.
Tested as my AMD R9 285 GPU now has hybrid VP9 decode support on windows, which does work via chrome using some extra settings.
Questions/observations.
Does kodi ever use dxva2 vp9 decode?
I can make dxva checker list it, but kodi doesn’t use it or even list it by name in debug log. It does list the guid.
De-interlacing:
I only see bob listed/used, but dxva checker lists motion adaptive and others.
YUV to RGB – juat a quick test, but “by default” I am getting full range with no stretch for dxva decoded vids.
