I am running a HTPC (rx460) through to an anthem MRX1120 receiver which is connected to my vw320es pj.
Regardless of the film I watch, it shows sounds as “multi pcm”. It sounds just fine. Previously I have been using plex which shows the exact type of audio plus active channels.. ie DTS MA 3/4 or Atmos, etc etc. I find I like to be able to immediately check the sound the avr is receiving.
Everything is set to wasapi. Is there something I am missing?
