Help with conversion of ts to M3u8 for Live streams

Hi.

My player only accepts M3u8 file format. For live streams that are with .ts extension….can anyone recommend a way to convert from ts to m3u8. Some people have said change the “ts” extension to “m3u8” but that does not work.
