Any chance that team Kodi could make an exception and merge this pull request for iOS 10 support before Kodi 17.0 (Krypton) final is release?

Don’t have any statistics but I’m willing to bet that anyone with an iOS 10 capable device will update long before Kodi 18.0 (L) is released.
I understand that Xcode 8 does not requires iOS 6.0 but do you think there are that many iOS 6.0 users out there that will run Kodi 17?
