I am currently running Kodi 16 Jarvis without problems. I downloaded version 17-Krypton and ran the installer. After it completed, I try to launch Kodi and get a message that says “The program can’t start because api-ms-win-crt-locale-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.” I have reinstalled several times with no success. I searched the internet for this and found that it is part of the Visual C++ redistributable installation. So I downloaded the x86 version of that and tried running the installer. It finishes with an error saying it failed.
I am running Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit operating system.
Any ideas what I can do to get version 17 to work?
