MySQL/Kodi Problem

Hello,
I just installed mysql on a new Open Media Vault server and can access it from a web browser on multiple devices. I created a user with both username and password set to kodi. I gave the new user complete access in mysql for creating databases, etc and I can log in and view files under that user. I’m using the advancedsettings.xml file from my computer that worked flawlessly with the old server as my new server has the same IP address the old one.

I’m having 2 problems.
1. Kodi will not create a database in mysql for either video or music.
2. The menu items in kodi do not show correctly on my computer. Movie & TV Shows are missing. This has been a problem for awhile, but I’ve tried deleting/reinstall kodi numerous times and it always brings back everything just like it was. The old database worked correctly though.

I’ve deleted the hidden .kodi folder and have done an apt-get remove & apt-get purge kodi command before trying to reinstall. I also have the media files shared in OMV with the autogenerated NFS exports file and have mapped them to my devices on the network and each device can see/read/play the files. I’m using Kodi 16.1 Jarvis
Thanks for any help

Jim
