Always use Display Mode Full Screen #2

I run Kodi from the PC in my office on a display attached via HDMI in the adjacent living room. Eventually, the PC will move to the basement and a DisplayPort cable will be run to the office for my main monitor. The HDMI output will be multiplexed and used to view Kodi on various TVs throughout the house.

As-is, Kodi ends up reverting back to Display Mode Full Screen #1 on startup every now and then. There seem to be a couple things that trigger it (like shutting off the TV while Kodi is running), but it also seems to happen randomly as well. This situation will probably worsen when the HDMI is being multiplexed and at least it will be a large pain in the butt having to go to the main monitor to solve the problem or impossible for other users who don’t know how/have access to solve the problem.

I found some posts with the same problem that were never solved and fraught with replies that didn’t understand the problem. I don’t want to be snarky or anything, but considering the other posts and how they panned out, here’s what I do not need or want to know: How to change display mode (e.g, using alt+enter or \), how to “extend” displays, how to set Display Mode to Full Screen #2.

Here is what I do need to know: How to make Kodi always, always, always open in Full Screen #2 so that it does not revert back to Full Screen #1.

I’m running Kodi in portable mode on a Windows 10 PC

Thanks for any help in advance.
